Arsenal Diary: What’s in store this week

Russo NLD

Caught your breath from the weekend yet? After another big win in the Premier League title race, this week is all about our women’s and academy teams.

With no men’s first team fixture until a trip to Sheffield United next Monday, here’s what to expect on Arsenal.com over the next seven days.

MONDAY

Adrian Clarke’s Arsenal Analysis

Saka Newcastle

Another Monday for Adrian to dig into what made us so good on the weekend! His analysis piece will take a closer look at Saturday night’s convincing 4-1 win over Newcastle United to uncover what it was about Mikel Arteta’s tactics and the way the players carried them out that made us so dominant at Emirates Stadium.

7pm - West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal U21s

Mehmet Ali’s under-21s travel to Keys Park for Premier League 2 action at West Brom on Monday night. We’re third in the division, seven points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur, after our 4-2 win over Southampton two Fridays ago.

The Baggies, meanwhile, are 20th with 12 points having lost their last game 3-0 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Here on Arsenal.com and the official app, we will provide a full match report of Monday’s game as well as all of the post-match reaction.

Wimbledon GV

The second away trip in five days for our under-21s, Friday night sees us make the shorter journey to Cherry Red Records Fans’ Stadium to take on Chelsea in PL2.

The Blues are just one point behind us at the start of the week but have played one game more, having beaten Middlesbrough 3-1 away on Friday.

Once again, look out for the full match report and post-match reaction on Arsenal.com and the official app.

SUNDAY

12.30pm - Arsenal Women v Tottenham Hotspur

NLD GV

It promises to be yet another super Sunday at Emirates Stadium this weekend as we return to Barclays Women’s Super League action with the small matter of a north London derby.

We’ll be out for revenge, having lost 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier in the season, and know that three points this Sunday could see us close the gap on Manchester City and Chelsea.

Spurs are mid-table and without a win in their last three matches in the league.

A small number of tickets remain available for Sunday, but for those who aren’t in attendance, supporters can watch the action live on BBC Two, iPlayer or the BBC Sport website, while we will be providing the usual coverage on Arsenal.com and the official app.
