The Gunners enjoyed a breathtaking start to the match which was
all but over as a contest inside 15 minutes, by which time Vic
Akers' side had already established a four-goal lead.
England star Kelly Smith notched a brace and Julie Fleeting and
Rachel McArthur added strikes of their own to overwhelm the
visitors before they could get a foothold in the match.
Arsenal then waited until five minutes after the restart to
stretch their lead as Jayne Ludlow's shot was deflected in by
Chelsea's Nicki De La Salle.
England Under-19 striker Lianne Sanderson completed the scoring
by netting Arsenal's sixth eight minutes from time.
The Gunners leapfrog Everton into second place in the table, six
points behind leaders Charlton Athletic with two games in hand over
the pacesetters.
