International career 140 caps and 59 goals for Scotland

Last season was one of slight frustration for the captain, who missed most of November and was then injured in her second game back – the 4-1 win over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in December. She returned in mid-February and was soon back to her influential best, scoring penalties in victories over London City Lionesses and Manchester United, lifting the Continental Cup – her 15th major trophy here – and completing 129 of her 130 passes in the 5-0 win over Bristol City in April 2024.

The skipper is a club legend, with 176 goals as at the start of the season – second only to Jayne Ludlow’s 211 – and has more than 300 appearances to her name. Kim joined us from Hibernian in 2008 at the age of 17, and by the time she left for Seattle Reign six years later was regarded as one of the best creative players in the world. Known for her close control, dribbling skills and vision, she enjoyed more success in the United States and Australia with Melbourne City before returning to north London in 2017 and taking the armband a year later.

Kim made her Scotland debut aged 16 and won 140 caps, scoring 59 goals, before retiring from international duty in 2021.
