A tireless runner and deadly finisher, Swedish striker Stina was our top scorer in 2023/24 with 18 goals, matching her tally from the previous season.
Although third in the WSL scoring charts behind Alessia Russo (12) and Beth Mead (8), the powerful forward netted nine goals in six games in our successful defence of the Continental Cup, including two hat-tricks and the extra-time winner in the final against Chelsea.
She also had a habit of scoring late in games from the bench – seven of her goals came as a substitute, notably a late winner at home to Manchester City and
both goals in a 2-1 victory away to the same opponents.
A big-game player who also netted important goals throughout 2022/23, Stina joined in January 2022 from Swedish club BK Hacken, where she won both the league and cup and finished as the league’s top scorer in her final season with 17 goals in 21 appearances.
A Sweden international who won her 100th cap last term, she helped her country to the semi-finals at both Euro 2022 and the 2023 World Cup. She is one of only three people with the name Blackstenius, which was coined by her father.
