There are high hopes for academy graduate Michelle, who signed her first professional deal in May 2024, despite making just one appearance for us last term, in the 5-0 win over Brighton on the final day of the season.
Her absence is explained by the fact that she was on loan at Championship side Watford, although she missed much of the campaign after suffering an injury on her debut.
She returned in the FA Cup fourth-round clash against us and scored Watford’s consolation goal in a 5-1 defeat, then netted four league goals before returning to north London.
The exciting centre forward made her Arsenal debut in November 2022 aged 16 and scored her first senior goal in the 9-0 FA Cup fourth-round victory over Leeds United two months later.
She also helped fire our under- 21s to the Academy League title, scoring 19 goals in 11 games.
At international level, she starred for England at the 2022 Women’s Under-17 Euros, where she netted four goals en route to the semi-finals, and again in the summer of 2024 at the Under-19 Euros, where she scored a hat-trick in a record 10-0 win over Lithuania and helped the young Lionesses to the semi-finals.
