Livewire forward Caitlin was our regular left-winger last season, featuring in every WSL game and contributing four goals (six in total) and four assists in the league.
More than that, however, the Australia international – who passed 100 appearances for the club last term – is a constant threat with her pace, direct running and clever movement, and her link- up play with either international team-mate Steph Catley or Katie McCabe at left back is a constant source of danger.
Caitlin joined from NWSL side Portland Thorns in January 2020, and although the Covid pandemic interrupted her early months in England, she hit form in 2020/21 by scoring 12 goals, a tally she matched in 2022/23.
A key player for her national team, she made her international debut in 2011 at the age of 16 and has represented Australia at four World Cups, starring in the Matildas’ run to the semi-finals in 2023 and scoring in the 2-0 win over Denmark in the Round of 16. She also netted five goals and
four assists in four games during the qualifying campaign for the 2024 Olympics, which was Caitlin’s third appearance at the Games.
