Tomiyasu - We showed passion and authority

Takehiro Tomiyasu hailed the team's authority and passion after we beat West Ham United on Wednesday.

Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe sealed the points, and afterwards the Japan international spoke to Arsenal Media.

This is what he said:

on the performance...

It was an important game for us to get fourth place, so we showed our passion and we took three points, and fourth place, so I am happy with the result.

on how important it was to get into fourth place..

We have to play every game to get three points, but now we have to protect fourth place and go higher, so let's focus on the next one.

on how tough it was against West Ham...

Like I say, it was a tough game for us but we showed our passion, authority and we wanted the three points a lot so I am happy with the result.

on playing alongside Martinelli...

Yes, I think he is a great player. I made an assist for him against Newcastle, I thought it would be too long but he was fast and he had the technique to score. I think he is a great player.
