Naomi Williams

While she is yet to make an official senior appearance, talented young goalkeeper Naomi featured regularly on the bench last season – including in the UEFA Champions League final – and has impressed with her work ethic, ability and teamwork in training alongside Manuela Zinsberger and Daphne van Domselaar. 

The England youth international was also a regular on the bench in 2023/24 and picked up a League Cup winners’ medal, having signed her first professional deal with the club in June 2023. The athletic shot-stopper then got a taste of senior action by playing the final 30 minutes of Arsenal’s 1-0 friendly win over the A League All-Stars in Australia in May 2024, and impressed by making a fine save to deny prolific Melbourne City striker Hannah Wilkinson in the 89th minute to preserve our lead. 

In fact last season was her third campaign of regular exposure to first-team football, and she was on the bench as far back as our 5-1 away win over European champions Lyon in October 2022. She was a regular for our successful double-winning Academy side in 2022/23, and also featured for the title-winning Under-21s last term when she wasn’t on first-team duty.
