Tierney set to complete Gunners century

Kieran Tierney in action against Fulham

Kieran Tierney will make his 100th appearance as a Gunner after being named in Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up for tonight’s Europa League game against PSV Eindhoven.

The left-back completes a century of games in our colours, having arrived from Celtic in August 2019 and debuting in a League Cup clash against Nottingham Forest the following month.

His first goal arrived on the final day of his first season against Watford, and he ended his maiden campaign by lifting the FA Cup, playing all-but the final seconds of the Wembley encounter.

Further success came in the Community Shield later that month, and then he played 38 times in 2020/21 - his best tally in a season so far.

This term has seen Kieran feature in 12 of our 13 games - nine in the league and all of our three Europa League encounters.

Congratulations Kieran!
