Ian McPherson

Ian McPherson spent a successful five years in north London just after the Second World War.

Joining Arsenal from Notts County in August 1946, the wing forward represented the Club 152 times, finding the net 19 times.

McPherson was part of the team that won the Division One title in 1948 but left Arsenal three years later and went on to have a second spell in Nottingham before joining Brentford, Bedford Town and Cambridge United, where he finished his career.
