'We know we need to fix up our away form'

Unai Emery with Alex Iwobi

There's no hiding from the fact that our away form will have to improve if we are to secure Champions League football.

With six games remaining, we'll be playing on the road on four occasions – and Alex Iwobi knows the importance of consistency during our run-in.

"If we want to play in the Champions League then we need to fix up straight away on our away form," Iwobi said. "We know how vital these four away games will be and we're going to put in our all to try and get back into the Champions League again.

"It's not just for the fans and our teammates but also for ourselves, we do feel very disappointed [with our recent away form]. Especially in the game against Everton where we did try our best, but it just didn't work out. But it's one result.

"We have to put it in the past. We've been working again in training to put it right in the next game against Watford.

"That winning feeling is still there. In training we're always trying to compete, to win. [Unai Emery] makes training very intense, with lots of games where we have to try to win. It gets very competitive and we can transfer that into the games.

"He has created that winning mentality and everyone wants to fight and that's the mentality around the team."
