‘Viv’s a special player and a big asset’

Vivianne Miedema stole the headlines once again by scoring four times during our pre-season win over Juventus.

The Netherlands international struck twice either side of half-time while Kim Little was also on target as we hit five past the Italian champions on Sunday, and Joe Montemurro was delighted with his striker’s performance.

 

“Viv is a special player,” he said. “She’s a special thinker and a special asset to any team.

 

“She’s not just a No 9, she’s also good in the build-up and has the ability to identify space, control the match and bring others into the game.

 

“She’s got all the attributes to be, for me, one of the best players in the world.”
