Our under-18s will be playing their fourth consecutive away game in all competitions as we travel to the south coast to face Southampton on Saturday, February 17 - kick off is at 12pm (UK).
Jack Wilshere’s young Gunners sit in third place with 24 points after 12 games played. We are seven points behind Tottenham Hotspur in second, but we do have three games in hand.
Last time out, we were knocked out of the Premier League Cup at the quarter-final stage by Manchester United. But, our last league game saw us comfortably beat Leicester City 4-0 and in the league, we’re unbeaten in our last six, winning five.
Opposition look
Southampton have had a difficult season winning just three out of their 13 league games this season and are placed third from bottom with 11 points.
However, they did secure three points in the last league outing, coming from behind to beat Norwich City 3-2 thanks to a Jay Robinson brace and a goal from Aston Daley.
When we met the Saints earlier in the season in the reverse fixture, we emphatically beat them 4-0 at the Sobha Realty Training Centre thanks to a hat-trick from Chido Obi-Martin and a goal from Louis Zecevic-John.
