Security information for supporters

Emirates Stadium

Following fan disorder at the Europa League group-stage match between Vitoria and Eintracht Frankfurt, Uefa has taken the decision to ban the German club from selling tickets to its away supporters for their next two Uefa competition matches, which includes our match at Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

Although this will result in the visitors’ sections of the stadium being empty, in order to ensure everyone reaching the turnstiles in is possession of a ticket we are implementing additional entry procedures outside the stadium. Therefore, all supporters attending Thursday’s match are advised to arrive early ahead of the 8pm kick off.

The additional measures in place will be two-fold. Firstly, on approach to the turnstiles, supporters will need to show their physical ticket to stewards. Then at the turnstiles, stewards will make a check of the validity of the ticket to gain access. These measures will undoubtedly slow down entry into stadium for supporters, but if fans plan their journey and arrive in good time, we are hoping that any delays will be minimal.

Turnstiles will open no later than 6.30pm (Premium Tier 5.30pm).

These additional measures have been put in place to prevent ticketless supporters, or those that have purchased fake/invalid tickets, attempting to ‘tailgate’ or force their way into the stadium, as they should not be able to pass the first check.

We remind all our supporters not to allow your tickets to end up in the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans. The club will take the appropriate action against any member found passing, selling or offering their ticket(s) for sale, which will lead to a cancellation of their membership resulting in a ban.

Any Eintracht Frankfurt supporters in possession of a home ticket will be refused entry, and any who do manage to gain entry will face ejection from the stadium.

In order to try to avoid lengthy queues before the match, can we also ask supporters not bring smaller bags to the match unless absolutely necessary. A reminder that suitcases, cabin bags and large luggage bags are NOT permitted inside the stadium. For those supporters with large bags, there is a bag storage facility available at King’s Cross station.

We ask for your patience and understanding and thank you in advance for your co-operation.
