Saka's Man Utd strike shortlisted for PL GOTM

Bukayo Saka celebrates scoring against Manchester United

As well as being nominated for the Player of the Month award, Bukayo Saka is also in contention to win the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for January.

His sensational strike from long-range against Manchester United is one of eight netbusters selected as the best from the last month, with fans being offered the chance to help pick the winner.

Bukayo's moment came in the 53rd minute of the game at Emirates Stadium last week. With the score locked at 1-1, he received the ball on the right flank from Takehiro Tomiyasu, managed to evade Christian Eriksen and then after creating the yard of space he required, unleashed a rocket of a shot from 25 yards that fizzed past David de Gea and into the bottom corner to send the home supporters into bedlam.

That was his eighth strike of the season so far in all competitions, and one of his finest ever in our colours, fully deserving his spot on the ballot.

He is up against three goals from Brighton & Hove Albion players - Solly March and Danny Welbeck's well-taken efforts against Liverpool, as well as Kaoru Mitoma's curler against Leicester City.

Marcus Rashford's blast against us is also included, as are Daniel Podence's strike for Wolves against Aston Villa, Michael Olise's brilliant last-minute free-kick to earn Crystal Palace a draw against United, and Harry Kane's turn and shot against Fulham.

You can vote for your favourite, as well as help Saka win Player of the Month, Mikel Arteta Manager of the Month and Aaron Ramsdale Save of the Month.
