Reading v Arsenal: The Brief

We return to league action on Sunday when we travel to Adams Park to face Reading, hoping to replicate the win from our previous fixture.

THE OPPOSITION

Having struggled to find their feet in the league so far this season, the Royals are now also out of the Continental Cup, following our win earlier in the month.

However, when we faced Reading earlier in the season in the league at Meadow Park, the visitors were 2-1 winners.

ONE TO WATCH

With 12 appearances and five goals in all competitions, Jordan Nobbs has been at the heart of our team this season, pulling the strings in midfield.

The 25-year-old has come up with vital goals when we need them, such as when she scored late on against Reading to take us to the Continental Cup final.

LAST TIME WE MET

We booked our place in the Continental Cup final with a late win against the Royals at Adams’ Park.

Beth Mead opened the scoring after just five minutes, only for Brooke Chaplen to equalise two minutes later.

Lauren Bruton put the hosts into the lead with 20 minutes remaining, before Vivianne Miedema drew us level shortly after.

With just moments left in the tie, Nobbs poked the ball home to put us back in front and secure our ticket to the final.
