Player of the month

Odegaard wins December Player of the Month

Martin Odegaard has been named our men's Player of the Month for December after our supporters selected him as our standout performer.

Our skipper amassed 42 per cent of the votes to claim the prize ahead of fellow nominees Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, and becoming the fifth different player to be crowned our monthly winner already this campaign.

The Norwegian made some vital contributions during the final month of 2023, when he played every minute of our seven Premier League matches. He kicked it off by finishing a fine team move against Wolves, which proved to be the winner in our 2-1 victory. That effort has seen him nominated for the division's Goal of the Month - vote for him now.

Then in the following game against Luton, he put in the pinpoint cross necessary for Declan Rice to climb high and head in our dramatic stoppage-winner. Martin would also provide the delivery for Gabriel to score against Liverpool as we claimed a 1-1 draw at Anfield, giving him four assists this term to add to his seven strikes.

It is the third time Martin has been named our Player of the Month, having also picked up the accolade in March 2021 and April 2023.

He follows in the footsteps of Rice (August), Saka (September), Takehiro Tomiyasu (October) and Havertz (November) in topping our vote during 2023/24.
