Odegaard nominated for CL Goal of the Week

Martin Odegaard scores against Lens

Martin Odegaard's superb volley during our 6-0 win against Lens is a contender for the Champions League Goal of the Week, and your votes can help him win!

The skipper produced a delightful finish in first-half stoppage time to put the exclamation point on an incredible opening 45 minutes as we went into the break 5-0 ahead, with its quality being recognised by UEFA.

The move began when Bukayo Saka slipped Takehiro Tomiyasu into the box who chipped the ball back across the area, and waiting for it to drop was Martin who unleashed a bullet of a left-footed finish that whistled into the bottom corner of the Lens net.

That was deemed to be one of the four best goals of matchweek five, and the Norwegian is up against Kerem Akturkoglu and Bruno Fernandes who both scored belters in the Galatasaray v Manchester United game, as well as Real Madrid striker Rodrygo who found the top corner in their 4-2 win over Napoli.

You can vote for Martin until 11am UK time on Friday, December 1.
