Koscielny - Gnabry will have a big 2014

Laurent Koscielny is tipping Serge Gnabry to have a major impact in 2014.

The Germany youth international scored his first senior goal for Arsenal in the win at Swansea in September, and won a penalty in the 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace a month later.

The 18-year-old went on to sign a new long-term contract with the Club and Koscielny believes he has the potential to be one of the stars of the new year.

"He has a lot of quality; he is quick, he has a lot of technique and he is so young so he has time"

“He has a lot of quality; he is quick, he has a lot of technique and he is so young so he has time.

“He needs to work hard in training to be with the first team but it is good for him to know the pressure of the game.”

Kosicelny is delighted to be begin 2014 from the summit of the Premier League but says Arsenal must maintain their intensity if they want to stay there.

“We want to start the year with a win and continue our performances from the last six months,” he said.

“We are first so we need to keep our mentality and keep what we are doing on the pitch together. If we do that we can win something.”
