Kerr on dropping points and Byrne's form

Shelley Kerr

Shelley Kerr spoke to Arsenal.com after her team's goalless draw at home to Lincoln. The Gunners are four points behind leaders Liverpool with one game in hand. Read on to see what she said:

on the performance…
I thought we dominated and controlled the game but I said before that Lincoln are so well organised and disciplined defensively and they play to their strengths. Unfortunately for us we couldn't break them down.

on the title race being out of Arsenal's hands…
We need to just concentrate on us and pick ourselves up for Sunday. It's not that we didn't play well tonight because we did, we just couldn't break Lincoln down. We just need to just focus on Sunday’s game and hopefully try and play in a similar way as we did tonight but have that clinical edge to our game.

on Emma Byrne's form…
She's been outstanding. She's worked really hard and trained more. We've obviously got the added bonus of having Tony Roberts working with her, that's helped her massively. She's a big player for us and has been for a long time. Since the summer she's been absolutely fantastic.

on preparing the team for the next game…
We just need to rest and recover and switch off from this game because we can't do anything about it now. We have to look forward to Sunday.
