Serge Gnabry wants to use this season's FA Cup as a building block in cementing his place in the first team.
The young German has featured in both of Arsenal's games in the competition this season and received widespread praise for his display in the 2-0 win against Tottenham.
Gnabry watched Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Liverpool from the sidelines and is itching to be given an opportunity to put things right when the Reds visit Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
"We have to fight, that's football," Gnabry told the official matchday programme. "I'm eager to get back in the team and I'm trying my best in training. I'm hoping to catch the manager's eye and hoping to get back in the starting XI.
"The FA Cup is a great opportunity for young players. I really enjoy playing in the competition and I hope we make it to the final.
"We've got a chance but in a cup it's important to win every game that comes, no matter who you¹re drawn against, and it doesn't matter who is still in the cup because in the end you have to play the best teams.
"I think it's going to be a great game for sure and we just want to make it to the next round."
