Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal were unused substitutes as Spain were beaten 3-0 by Brazil in the final of the Confederations Cup on Sunday.
A brace from Fred, plus Neymar's emphatic left-footed effort, secured a 3-0 win for the hosts in front of a partisan crowd at the Maracana.
Sergio Ramos missed a 54th-minute penalty for the world and European champions, while Gerard Pique was sent off midway through the second half.
Despite not being involved against Brazil, Monreal and Cazorla both played their part in Spain's route to the final.
They both started the comprehensive 10-0 victory over Tahiti in the group stage, with Cazorla also featuring in Spain's first game, a 2-1 win over Uruguay.
