Santi Cazorla says Arsenal's consistency is the main reason for the side's improvement this season.
The Spaniard's brace secured a 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday which took the Gunners over the 50-point barrier after just 22 games.
"This season, we’re much more consistent, much more solid, especially when we’re on top of a game"
Manchester City and Chelsea remain the favourites to win the title but Cazorla feels Arsenal are capable of going the distance this year.
"At the moment, we’re showing that we’re up there with them," said Cazorla. "Maybe at the start of the season nobody put us up as high as Manchester City or Chelsea, maybe because of the signings they made, but it’s ultimately demonstrated on the pitch and, right now, Arsenal are above them and our objective is to keep fighting with them.
"This season, we’re much more consistent, much more solid, especially when we’re on top of a game because, last season there were matches when we would go 2-0 up and could let it escape from us.
"That makes it practically impossible to win a title and this season that has changed for the team."
Cazorla thinks two notable summer signings have also lifted Arsenal's standards.
"This season, the level has risen with the arrival of Mesut [Ozil]," he said. "With the level being displayed for example by Aaron [Ramsey] and Mathieu Flamini, who is doing great things, that means the team has a much higher level, that it has more options in every game for the manager."
