When the half-time whistle went and we headed back to the dressing room at 3-1 down against Liverpool, it was hard to envisage the fightback that would follow.
But after the team battled back to claim a point in an eight-goal thriller, Pedro Martinez Losa was pleased by his side's application.
"Obviously we wanted a better result, and we thought we had it, but in the last minutes it was a draw," Losa told Arsenal Player. "Great credit goes to the girls. They reacted very well and it’s not easy.
"We showed the Arsenal character so I can only be proud of what we did. Obviously we wanted a better result, but Liverpool are very difficult opponents and both teams showed what they are capable of.
"In the second half I think the team was more confident, had more energy and dominated better in the middle of the park. Especially in the wide areas, we created one-on-one situations that changed the game.
"Danielle [Carter] recognised one of the weaknesses of the opponent and she did phenomenally well. I think she was unlucky not to score one more. We performed better, we were more comfortable, but in the last seconds we just conceded that goal."
