'It was a bit of a mental game!'

It's been a hectic week for Louise Quinn. In the space of five days she signed for the club, made her debut and was also handed her first start.

Thursday night's 4-4 draw with Liverpool also marked her first home appearance, and it was by no means an easy introduction to life at Arsenal Ladies.

"It was a bit of a mental game!" she told Arsenal Player. "I’m obviously very happy to get a start, but it was just a hectic game. I think first half we were just trying to find our feet a little bit and got into it.

"Second half I think it just showed that determination that the whole team has. Even myself, I think I started to settle into the game a bit more. It definitely wasn’t easy, but we fought back.

"Obviously we felt we maybe should’ve held on at the end, but Liverpool are a very good side. We’ll take positives from that.

"Everyone’s been great, really welcoming and settling me in,” she added. "The training has been nice and intense, good sessions. We’re here to learn, progress. So hopefully I’ll be able to find my feet a little bit more.

"I’m enjoying training, I think I’m doing alright and hopefully I can just keep starting and keep playing games."
