Chambers returns in Boro defeat

Calum Chambers made his return from injury, playing the full 90 minutes as Middlesbrough lost 4-0 to Bournemouth. Jack Wilshere did not feature, due to injury. Josh King opened the scoring, before Benik Afobe added the second. Marc Pugh extended the hosts’ lead, with Charlie Daniels rounding off the scoring.

Joel Campbell came on in the 88th minute as Sporting Lisbon drew 1-1 with Benfica. Adrien Silva put the hosts ahead with a penalty in the fifth minute, before Victor Lindelhof scored a second-half equaliser.

Chuba Akpom was an 83rd-minute substitute as Brighton & Hove Albion lost 2-0 at Norwich City. David Stockdale scored two own goals.

Kaylen Hinds played 66 minutes as Stevenage lost 1-0 to Mansfield Town. Danny Rose scored the game’s only goal.

Ismael Bennacer played 63 minutes as Tours drew 1-1 with Auxerre. Faiz Selemani opened the scoring after two minutes before Adama Ba’s leveller.

Julio Pleguezuelo played the full 90 minutes as Mallorca drew 1-1 with Cordoba. Junior Lago put Mallorca in front, but Pedro Rios equalised for Cordoba.

Kelechi Nwakali played the entirety of Maastricht’s 2-2 draw with PSV II. Patrick N’Koyi gave Maastricht the lead going into half-time, before Suently Alberto levelled for PSV. Alessandro Ciranni restored MVV’s lead, but the game ended all-square after Albert Gudmundsson’s late equaliser.

Dan Crowley played the full 90 minutes as Go Ahead Eagles lost 3-2 at home to Groningen. Mimoun Mahi put the visitors in front, before Sam Hendriks drew the hosts level. Jesper Drost restored the lead, only for Darren Maatsen to level in the 89th minute. Mahi struck again in added time to win the game for Groningen.
