He has the best goals-per-minute ratio of anyone in this season’s Premier League, so it’s no wonder that Arsène Wenger is delighted with Olivier Giroud’s evolution.
The striker is in his fifth season at Arsenal, and the boss believes he has made significant improvements during that time.
“He’s a player who has big international experience,” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “He has played many international games, many Champions League games and he’s much more confident today that he belongs where he plays.
“But I believe technically he has improved tremendously and that he has qualities that nobody else has. On top of that, he’s a fighter. He has shown that again against West Brom [Bournemouth and Preston].
“He can have a challenge, face it and put the effort in ready to achieve it. Overall, I think he’s a much more complete player than when he arrived.”
