Despite some tough matches in December, we ended 2016 on a high and there are some strong contenders for the latest Vitality Player of the Month award.
We started the month with back-to-back hat-tricks against West Ham United and Basel, before bouncing back from two Premier League defeats with hard-fought victories over West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

Alexis stole the headlines again after his stunning treble at the London Stadium, in a game which also saw him assist Mesut Ozil for our opener against the Hammers.
The World Cup winner followed that goal up with an assist in Basel and another strike in our comfortable victory against Stoke City.
Alex Iwobi was on target in both of those games, and his goalscoring form continued to the end of the month when he scored his first headed goal in our 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
