2016 review: Pics of the year - part one

It’s been another interesting year at Arsenal, and our club photographers have been with the team every step of the way.

Check out the first selection of Stuart MacFarlane and David Price’s favourite pictures from 2016 below.

And don't forget to have a look at more 2016 review content here:

1. Big night at the Emirates

Stuart says: This is a general view of Emirates Stadium before the match against Barcelona. The picture was shot on a remote camera using a fish eye lens. This really sets the scene for the Champions League match.

2. Santi to the rescue

David says: Here's Santi scoring the winner against Southampton back in September. It's always a great feeling to get something on a remote camera that you have put up in the stand. You're never sure what you have until you go back through all of the images. The fact that this was a last-minute matchwinning goal makes it even more rewarding.

3. Awesome Alexis

Stuart says: This is a sequence of pictures of Alexis' third goal on our first trip to London Stadium, which included an outrageous step over.

4. What a return

David says: Like the rest of us in the stadium, Danny really enjoyed this last-minute winner against Leicester.

5. Magical Mesut

Stuart says: After Mesut scored he headed towards the Arsenal fans. I picked up my spare camera and ran after him and caught up just as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain jumped on his back. It's shot on a wide-angle lens which gives it a good perspective.
