Saturday’s win over Stoke City stretched our unbeaten run in the Premier Leagues to 14 matches.
In fact, we’ve only lost one of our last 25 league games, which Theo Walcott believes is down to our increased squad depth.

“The players that have come in have really stepped in the work ethic at the club,” he said. “The intensity, the commitment and the hard work is showing, not just from 11 players in the starting XI, but it’s the whole squad.
“The manager always digs that into us - how important the whole squad is. When called upon everyone who has been involved coming off the bench or starting has done a fantastic job and that is the difference this year to previous years, where maybe we weren't quite ready as a whole squad.”
Walcott was pleased with the manner of our comeback against Stoke.
“[Their penalty] was against the run of play I felt,” he added. “I felt we had a strong first half but we got the rewards we deserved [when we] came on for the second half and started the game well. We don't normally do that.
“But there was something about us. Before going out everyone was ready. Maybe it was different but we haven't really started second halves well, but we started this one very well.
“That will please the manager and it pleases us, because that is one thing we wanted to do better this season.”
