Jenkinson visits local school garden

Ahead of our charity matchday this weekend, Carl Jenkinson spent some time at a local school’s vegetable garden.

The Arsenal Foundation recently donated a small grant to Copenhagen Primary School in Islington to build a vegetable garden.

Many children that live in Islington do not have the luxury of having access to a garden, so this vegetable garden allows them to grow their own food, and learn how to plant shrubs.

To support our charity matchday this weekend, Carl Jenkinson is donating a day’s wage to The Arsenal Foundation, so he recently visited Copenhagen School to see how the money can make a difference.

The Arsenal Foundation has a fund that is dedicated to helping people in North London. The Gunners Fund was launched in 2012 with the aim of supporting local projects and good causes in the boroughs of Islington, Camden and Hackney by offering smaller grants of up to £2,500 that can make a big difference to the community.

The Gunners Fund supports a wide range of different projects locally throughout the year, helping many local people projects all year round. For more information on The Gunners Fund or how to apply, click here
