Germany eventually won that quarter-final on penalties, but the Arsenal playmaker remembers how difficult it was to progress.

“I don’t know [Conte] personally but at the Euros, we had our difficulties against the Italians,” Ozil told Arsenal Player. “Tactically, [Chelsea] will be set up perfectl and could well play on the counter. We just need to be awake and play our game.
"We just need to look at ourselves and play our game. If we do that and don’t let ourselves be provoked, I believe we can win"

“Past games against Chelsea have been tough because we’ve received some red cards in matches that we’ve started well in, both away and at home. Those games have changed because of the reds.
“But this year we want to approach it differently - hopefully we won’t get a red card this time.
“If you want to win the league, you have to win these games against big teams. We’re playing at home and want the three points.”
