Hector Bellerin says Arsenal “knew how to play” Chelsea - by starting with a lot of intensity and desire.
The Gunners secured a superb result after first-half goals from Alexis, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil – but the Spanish defender said the whole team played their part.
- 'We cleared a psychological hurdle'
- Theo - This team is so bright and young
- 'It is great fun playing with Theo'
- Boss - The first half was nearly perfect
- Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea - Report
“It was a great game, I think the team started really, really well and you know, we picked up on the last few victories of the past week and it’s great that the team is in such a great shape,” Bellerin told Arsenal Player.
“It’s great when it’s a game like this, when you can enjoy, I think the fans have enjoyed it a lot and you’re comfortable and you get the goals. And that’s something that the team needed and something we’ve been working for - it’s great to see this machine work.
“The team has been starting the games with a lot of intensity and good tempo and that’s what we’ve done today. I think we knew the gameplan and we knew how to play them - that’s shown on the pitch.”
