Rob Holding delivered another composed performance at the back as we beat Watford 3-1 at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Afterwards, he spoke to the press and this is what he had to say:
on the manner of the win…
That’s what everybody likes to do. We like to get the three points most importantly and then send a message and score as many goals as we could. We couldn’t keep the clean sheet that we wanted, but we got the three goals which was enough.
on his time so far…
I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve been welcomed in by the group of lads, it’s been a great start [for me] and we’re just building on each game and hopefully we can keep winning.
on Wenger’s compliments…
Yeah, I’ve come in, not mega expensive but he’s brought me in and I’ve just played football and do what I do
on the squad being able to compete for the title…
You saw that here - I mean you had the likes of Ozil back in, we’ve got Giroud to come back and Alexis, Cazorla and Wilshere… there’s a lot of good players so we’ve got more than a chance.
