Arsene Wenger says Alexis will not go on tour to California so he can rest the ankle injury he sustained in the Copa America final.
The Chilean forward is one of a handful of first-team players who will be left out of the travelling squad for the games against MLS All-Stars and Chivas.

“The players who won’t make it are the players who went very far in the European Championship, such as Ramsey, Ozil, Giroud and Koscielny,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“I left Gabriel behind today because he has tonsillitis and is infected. He cannot travel.
“Alexis will not go either because he had an ankle injury. That is not too bad but I will leave him behind as well.”
