Arsenal supporters around the world came together this weekend to take part in The Arsenal Foundation’s annual fun run.
More than 1,000 Gooners signed up for The Arsenal 5k across China, with hundreds more running in the United Kingdom, the United States, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Hungary, Nigeria and South Africa.
In total, Arsenal fans from more than 80 countries participated in the run, to raise funds and awareness for The Arsenal Foundation.
The Arsenal Foundation funds a range projects that use the club's name and the popularity of the game to reach disadvantaged young people. The most recent project in partnership with Save the Children saw the installation of two artificial football pitches in a camp in Iraq for internally displaced people.
There are hundreds of projects and thousands of beneficiaries, but what brings the work of the Arsenal Foundation together is the belief that young people can thrive with the right support and the knowledge that the Arsenal name can inspire them and change their lives.
