Arsenal in the Community hosted a Show Racism the Red Card educational event at the Arsenal Hub on Tuesday.
Ninety young people from five local primary schools attended the event – participating in workshops and quizzing a panel of special guests that included former Arsenal player Perry Groves and one-time Newcastle United player and SRtRC education worker Richard Offiong.
Alan Sefton, Head of Arsenal in the Community said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Show Racism the Red Card to talk about the importance of tolerance and tackling discrimination with local schoolchildren. Through our Arsenal for Everyone, we work hard as a club to promote inclusivity and celebrate the diversity of the Arsenal family.”
Under the umbrella of ‘Arsenal for Everyone’, Arsenal strives to ensure that everybody connected with the club - irrespective of race, age, religion and belief, sexual orientation, disability and gender - feels an equal sense of belonging. Click here for details.
