Arsenal Football Club is saddened to learn of the death of former goalkeeper Ian McKechnie.
Born in Scotland, Ian joined the club as an outside left in 1958 and, after being converted to a goalkeeper, went on to make 25 appearances during his time in north London. He departed for Southend United in 1964 and later went on to spend eight seasons with Hull City.
The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Ian's family and friends.
