Pedro Martinez Losa has hailed the impact of his substitutes in Arsenal Ladies’ 1-1 draw at Notts County.
The Gunners had a slow start to the game and went a goal behind when Ellen White found the bottom corner from a clever free-kick.
Losa introduced Jade Bailey at half-time before bringing on Chioma Ubogagu, who scored a late equaliser to salvage a point for Arsenal.
"The Arsenal way for the future will be to give confidence to the young players and we need to be patient with them"
“There were a few elements that affected the second half and one was Jade,” the manager told Arsenal.com. “She was more solid and aggressive in that space, and winning more second balls. That was giving more confidence to the team to play forward.
“We need to give our young players all the credit. We can’t create a drama because we played a bad 20 minutes or we made a mistake. The Arsenal way for the future will be to give confidence to the young players and we need to be patient with them.
“All the girls are doing a great job and when one player’s not fantastic, another player can score a goal or work hard like this. We want to have a squad and it’s very important to work hard together. We’ll take the positives from this one.
“I hope the fans enjoyed the game. We really enjoyed it. We would have preferred the win but it was a fantastic game of football.”
