Arsene Wenger has praised Arsenal’s fluid and attacking second-half performance at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.
After a quiet first half, the Gunners created numerous opportunities after the break at Loftus Road, with Olivier Giroud and Alexis scoring.
Only a series of fine Rob Green saves prevented Arsenal from extending their lead further before Charlie Austin’s late strike ensured a tense finale.
"[The first goal] was a classic counter-attack. We made many good ones tonight but Rob Green had an outstanding game and kept them in it"
“The first half was very physical and we needed to be resilient and focused on winning the fight,” the manager told Arsenal Player. “We had be patient, focus on our game and get the ball down and play.
“Slowly we did that in the last 15 minutes of the first half. The second half we controlled very well and played very well.
“I felt that our game was fluent, quick, sharp. Overall it’s a great win and a deserved one.

“I wanted the team to continue to attack, because we are not a team that can sit off and wait for the teams who commit and get them only on the break. We need to master possession and we did that well.”
