Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stressed the importance of Arsenal matching their opponents’ physicality.
The Gunners withstood some heavy challenges to beat Stoke City 3-0 at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was pleased with the way the team stood up to the challenge and says it is an essential quality for any top side to have.

“Sometimes you have to roll your sleeves up, be physical and win the duels,” he said. “I definitely think away at Stoke, we lacked that and that’s why we came out of that game with a loss. That’s always at the back of your mind.
“We need to take this approach in every game because once we match teams physically and defending-wise, it gives us a good chance.
“We know in our team we have got the quality going forward to cause damage. So it is always important to make sure we match teams physically and do the dirty stuff as well.”
