Arsene Wenger has a "strong belief" that Arsenal can still compete for the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners go into Saturday's match against Burnley fifth in the table and nine points off the summit.
"The attitude has been fantastic, dedication fantastic, on the efficiency front we can do better"
The Arsenal manager is confident of reducing that gap but he says his side need to enhance their efficiency in certain areas.
"I think [the] attitude [has been] fantastic, dedication fantastic, on the efficiency front we can do better," said Wenger. "If you look at the chances we have created and the chances we have given away, I think we have created many chances and our finishing was not always at the expected level.
"We give very few chances away but those that we have given away are of quality, and that is what we want to do better.
"I don’t write us off, I let [other] people do it. That is a little bit linked with mathematics.
"It doesn’t consider against who we played, how many times we played away, what is the [quality] of the team we played against, what missing players we had in the big games. That is absolutely normal but I have a strong belief we will come back and we can just prove that on the pitch."
