‘Teams want to prove a point against us’

Calum Chambers believes Burnley could be dangerous opponents due to the fact they have nothing to lose in Saturday’s game at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners go into the match on the back of two successive away wins and are favourites to continue that run against the Premier League’s bottom club.

Chambers has called for focus though, and says the Clarets may be able to play with more freedom due to a lack of expectation.

"Every team wants to prove a point against us. We have to be ready for every game and up for that fight"

“It will [make them dangerous] and we have to be prepared for that,” he told Arsenal Player.

“Every team who plays us will up their game because it is Arsenal and we are such a well-known, good side. Every team wants to prove a point against us. We have to be ready for every game and up for that fight.

“We go into every single game as if it were against the toughest team in the league. We will be focused, we’ve been preparing all week and will go into it with a game plan so we know what we want to do.

“I am sure everyone on the pitch will give it 100 per cent and we will be looking to get a good result from it.”
