Mathieu Flamini spoke to the media after the draw against Hull City. Read a full transcript of what he said below:
on the performance…
I’m very frustrated. First of all with the referee’s decision for the first goal. It was clear to everyone it was a foul. I was in front of the player and he pulled me back so it was a very poor decision by the referee. I respect the referee and his decision but he was the only one not to see the foul.
on recovering a point…
We’re frustrated and disappointed because we didn’t’ win this game. They had two shots on target and they scored two goals. We played against Chelsea and they had three shots on target and scored two goals too. We have to fix something but we came back in the game. We didn’t lose, which was a good demonstration of character but we are disappointed and frustrated.
on why Arsenal haven’t had consistency…
It’s true. We’re having injuries but we don’t want to hide behind any excuses. We’re facing the truth - we didn’t win today and we’ll try to find a solution for the next games. Today Hull had two shots on target and they scored two goals. Chelsea had three shots on target and they scored three goals so it’s very difficult. At the moment we are having a bad period but we didn’t lose today. We came back so it was great character and very important to recover well with another game on Wednesday.
