Calum Chambers is not surprised at how quickly Danny Welbeck has settled in at Arsenal.

The England internationals both signed for the club in the summer transfer window and have immediately impressed in north London.

Welbeck stole the show with a hat-trick against Galatasaray on Wednesday night and Chambers feels the striker has all the ingredients to succeed at the club.

"He's an athlete - he's got pace, power, he's great on the ball," Chambers said. "He's willing to work hard and you can see that he's a goalscorer.

"He's everything that you can ask for really. He works hard and he's a great influence [on the team].

"[Danny] has settled in really well. When I first came, I said that the bunch of lads and the staff here were so welcoming. It's hard not to really settle in quickly!"

Chambers believes that Arsenal's convincing victory at Emirates Stadium was a demonstration of the team's quality.

"I think we showed a great work ethic together," Chambers said. "We went down to 10 men and we still held on.

"[Everyone] worked really hard and showed how much they wanted it. We showed our quality tonight basically.

"We knew that we had to defend and that everyone would have to defend when we were down to 10 men but if you get a chance to go and score, you [take it] to try and get a better advantage for yourselves.

"We had to concentrate on defending when we were down to 10 men and I thought we did that really well."
