Benik Afobe scored in MK Dons’ 3-2 defeat at Bristol City. Kieran Agard opened the scoring and doubled his tally from the spot before half-time. Dean Bowditch and Afobe levelled for the Dons, but Wade Elliott grabbed a late winner for the home side.

Carl Jenkinson replaced Guy Demel for the final 25 minutes of West Ham’s 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring inside five minutes and Robin van Persie doubled the lead 15 minutes later. Diafra Sakho then pulled one back before Rooney was sent off for kicking out at Stewart Downing. Jenkinson was denied an assist when Kevin Nolan’s equaliser was ruled out for offside.

Jon Toral was an unused substitute in Brentford’s 2-0 victory over Leeds. Jota Peleteiro struck in stoppage time at the end of the first half before Alan McCormack secured the win with 13 minutes left.

Watford 2-1 Brentford
Jon Toral was an unused substitute in Brentford’s 2-1 defeat at Watford. Odion Ighalo gave the hosts the lead in the 42nd minute before Jonathan Douglas pulled one back for Brentford. Matej Vydra then scored with a thunderous 20-yard drive to seal the win for Watford.

Ryo Miyaichi played 53 minutes of Twente’s 3-1 win against Utrecht. Former Gunner Kyle Ebicilio opened the scoring in the fifth minute before Chris Kum scored an own goal to double the home side’s lead. Yassin Ayoub pulled one back for Utrecht but Luc Castaignos was on hand to wrap up the three points in the final minute.

Deportivo la Coruna 0-1 Almeria
Wellington played the final 30 minutes of Almeria’s 1-0 victory away to Deportivo. Edgar Menez grabbed the only goal of the game in the second minute of stoppage time to give the visitors their second win of the season.

Boreham Wood 3-2 East Preston
Austin Lipman played 64 minutes of Boreham Wood’s 3-2 FA Cup win against East Preston. Lee Angol struck first before David Herbert and Joe Shelley gave the visitors the lead. But Angol struck once more before Greg Morgan gave Boreham Wood the cup victory.
