Centre of Excellence technical director John Bayer will take charge of Arsenal Ladies on a temporary basis until a permanent replacement for Shelley Kerr is appointed.
His first game as interim-coach will be against Liverpool when the Gunners' Women's Super League campaign resumes on Sunday.
A Uefa ‘A’ License holder, Bayer has overseen operations at the Ladies’ Centre of Excellence since 2008.
He will be supported in the role by club captain Kelly Smith, who continues as assistant player-coach.
Everyone at the club wishes John well for his time as interim coach.
