Wenger on top four and facing West Ham

Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal have what it takes to reel off five straight Premier League wins and book their place in next season's Champions League.

Everton are in pole position for a top-four finish after beating Sunderland on Saturday to climb above the Gunners.

But Wenger is expecting more twists and turns in this unpredictable campaign and he knows that a victory over West Ham United on Tuesday is imperative.

"It [winning every game] is the target," said Wenger. "Do you need it? Nobody knows, but the target is of course to win every game.

"We want to achieve it [a top-four finish] and that's simple. We just want to not imagine the consequences of not doing it, what you want is just to focus on doing it"

"We want to achieve it [a top-four finish] and that's simple. We just want to not imagine the consequences of not doing it, what you want is just to focus on doing it.

"That's where I think we have the focus, the quality of the spirit, we have the desire and we are slowly getting our players back so the squad is not depleted any more. It's much more stronger than it was two or three weeks ago."

West Ham sit in 11th place and will almost certainly avoid relegation. Wenger thinks that makes them a big threat on Tuesday night.

"West Ham are in a comfortable position, that means they can play without fear, so we know that in these kind of games it's very important that we have a good focus and a good tempo in our game.

"When you're in a semi-final and you win… it releases a little bit of pressure on the team on that front, but we want to bounce back in the Premier League.

"Therefore we want to finish strong, we have a battle with Everton and of course it's now down to consistency in our final games."
