Arsenal’s players will be using their Capital One Cup defeat to Bradford City as a reminder of the need to focus against Blackburn Rovers, according to Abou Diaby.
Arsene Wenger’s team were knocked out of the League Cup at the quarter-final stage after losing on penalties at Coral Windows Stadium.
Diaby is determined to avoid another cup upset on Saturday afternoon.
“There is a big lesson to take from [the Bradford] game. We should not underestimate our opponent, and [should] play like we play when we play [the likes of] Manchester United.
“They [teams from lower divisions] have this opportunity to play against big teams and they want to show themselves. Playing in the FA Cup is a big thing for them as well, so they give everything in every game.
“It makes Blackburn dangerous [that there is no pressure on them] but there are no easy games now, even when we play a [fourth division side], we can lose and that happened to us in the Capital One Cup. We need to take this game seriously and show that we are the better team.
“The FA Cup is a great competition and we really want to win this Saturday and lift this trophy at the end.”
