Congratulations to Vivianne Miedema, who was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year on Sunday.
Just hours after helping us secure our first FA Women’s Super League title since 2012, the Netherlands international beat Steph Houghton, Nikita Parris, Keira Walsh, Erin Cuthbert and Ji So-yun to the prize.
A deserving winner, Miedema has scored 31 goals in 27 appearances this season, assisting another 14, and broke a record in January for scoring 16 goals in a single FA WSL campaign. She has since scored six more in the competition and there is still one more game to play.
